What does normal spit up look like? Dd has been having spit up issues. Well just a little bit ago she spit and it was mostly clear with bright white specks in it. She's never spit up that much before either. Usually it's just a drool amount and it's mostly milky color. This was diff there was more than usual rinnig down my chest and smells sort of sour. Usually it has no smell. Idk if this is normal or if that's stomache acid? She has a pedi appt march first. Is it something that can wait?

That's what my sons looks like sometimes. Clear with white chunks. Like it curdled in his stomach. That's only if he spits up a larger amount which is rare.

If it's mostly clear with white specks, then it's not stomach acid(that's yellow). Spit up, whether from breast milk or formula can smell sour, especially if she didn't spit up immediately after eating, so it sounds like this is normal.

She did just eat though :( I have to keep her upright after waif and I was burping her when it happened. Just a few mins after she came off the boob.

I had to keep my oldest upright after she ate, too...she had slight reflux. It sounds like what your daughter had in her stomach had started to curdle and break down...that's why it smelled like that.

have you drank milk or had alot of dairy recently??
my son would throw up mid feeding, or even a minute after feeding if i drank milk, or had alot of dairy?

just one option to try and cut that out until your appointment. but i would try and make one for sooner if it keeps happening or gets worse.

She had an appt for the choking a week ago and the dr said it didn't sound like she had a milk allergy and that cutting dairy wasn't necessary. I was a little concerned about that too. Gah I hate having a baby with issues like this. I feel so confused :(

=( poor little one. hopefully she will grow out of it quickly and its nothing serious.

My son ended up with a milk protein intolerance, that wasn't diagnosed until after his 1st birthday=/ so hes under weight and had horrible diarrhea until we cut out dairy..

Was he ebf? I've talked to some ladies on here who have had to alter their diet for it. I hope I don't have to. I'll die of starvation :(

Her poop has been normal color but runny idk if that's considered diarrhea in a bf baby :?

yes he was EBF until 10 months when I was instructed to do only formula to try and get his weight up.

He would have what I thought were normal BF BM's but were actually diahrreah in disquise. but we were not able to distingush that until we started the formula and solid foods.

My oldest spit up quite a bit, but I don't remember what it look/smelled like. However, she did end up with a milk allergy that went undiagnosed until she was 3. So, just keep an eye on that!!! ( She was also EBF)
