I don' think returning it is being mean. The kid is being a snotty brat by not being grateful that someone gave him something....at CHURCH. He doesn't deserve to get anything else.

Eh I'm not anti-spanking. But discipline via a pop on the butt is different than humiliation via internet on top of home punishment.

to be brutally honest, i'd probably let DH keep the ps3 and not tell the kid. but no i can't see punishing at home then the public humiliation on top of it. i don't even think verbal discipline in front of their peers is acceptable.

None of them piss me off.

But the little boy one, it does not piss me off and I would do the same. I just wouldnt make it public in a picture, sure I might make a status about it or tell friends and family but not make a pic and post it. But to each their own really.
lol

I so agree with you!! I've seen so many people try to say spanking is illegal. PLEASE. Idk where they're from, but where I'm from CPS encourages it! No lie.

The first one, yuck.

Second one... Yeah, as if that's going to make him respect what his church gives him... To be honest, I don't see why WHERE he got the doll from matters at all. Personally, if it would have been a waste of time and money, I would straight up say it. I don't expect my kids to take something they don't like, and would find no use for. Waste of space in my house, and would probably get tossed within a month. And threatening to take away a game system you bought him, over a TOY that he doesn't want? Pretty ridiculous, in my opinion. Makes me wonder if it weren't "from the church" if the parents would do the same thing...

The first one upsets me because I used to work at Food Lion and saw this every day hahah, it was annoying especially when the meat cooler was ten steps away from where they put it (and no, it won't get refrozen and sold.. once it hits a certain temperature it's considered damaged and it's thrown out).

And the second one.. I dunno how I feel about it. I don't like that people take these pictures and post them all over Facebook for their friends to see.. but I once read about a girl who got caught sneaking a boy into her room and the parents made her stand outside of her neighborhood with a sign saying, "I disrespected my parent's rules by sneaking a boy into my room and this is my punishment" or something like that.. and I feel like she'll probably never sneak a boy in her room again. So.. I feel like it would work in teaching them a lesson but at the same time it's a little harsh..

It's illegal to resell meat once it hits a certain temperature. I was an office assistant at a Food Lion here for two years and they're very strict about not reselling meat. If they find it and it's still frozen, yes, they put it back, but once it hits a certain temperature it's considered damaged and thrown out.

Thats good to hear.

We don't have Food Lion in my area, but I have never seen a grocery clerk with a food thermometer, I have however seen them returning multiple items in a cart to the store shelves.

where i got the 1st pic it said "who hasn't done this?" i got the impression that someone found it funny, like an immature joke. guess that's what pissed me off.

My thoughts exactly. Her store may have been super strict or whatever, but most all stores aren't giving a f**k, most likely aren't even thinking. Just in auto pilot of doing their job.
