Buying ALL new furniture user banned

Well we're moving in April, and we've decided to buy ALL new furniture. My husband and I have never had a "real" bedroom set, we always skimp when it comes to ourselves, so that is one room I'm excited to do.

Does anyone know of any legit furniture websites I can check out while the Mister is at work?

Also getting a new mattress. We spent $1100 on our queen size pillow top 6 years ago, and I absolutely loved it, but think we'll get another to complete the "new" house!! I'm excited!

Another question. My 2 year old son is DYINNGGGG for a bunk bed. He calls them "up bed down bed's" -- Is that just way too young? I'd like to get one with the stairs vs. the ladder.

I think 2 is too young. But some kids are more mature than others, I just know my 2 year old would be over that railing super quick. lol

Do you have an American Signature Furniture near you? I just got all new living and dining room furniture for $2500. It's good quality too. We got 0% financing for 12 months.

We got our first "real" bedroom set when we bought our house in Dec. 2010, and let me warn you... be careful on the style you choose, think about how you maneuver around it. Sounds silly huh? The posts on the foot boards are square and big, and at least once a month I walk into it or hurt myself moving about the room and end up with a big painful bruise on my upper thigh :? But it's pretty furniture
Room planning is key. Haha

And go for a king size! You won't regret it. We have a king pillow top and it is HEAVEN. We spent about $2000 on the mattress set and it's worth every penny.

As far as the bunk bed goes, I'd go for it if he seems ready :)

How exciting! When we moved into our home we also bought all new furniture. And have since bought new living room furniture. We are in need now of a new matress.

Anyway, I don't know many furntiure places that will show you prices of all the pieces. You could see if there is a rooms to go in your area.

As for bunk beds, we bought our older boys bunkbeds when they were 4 and 2. That was 2 years ago. The 2 year old never slept on the top bed and was only allowed on top if I was in the room. Last year he was finally able to play up thier with his brother but still never slept on the top. It was not until last week he slept up top a few nights. I think 2 years old is too young to be sleeping and playing on the top of bunk beds. But that is me.

:!: agree with all three parts. I ended up getting rid of my set cause it didn't fit like I pictured.

King size is the freaking bomb! We spent $1200 on just the mattress and its so worth it. We just got a platform frame :).

That's very good advice! Thanks.

We live in the city, and the rooms are probably smaller than most are used to. I'd LOVE a king sizs. I really hope we can swing it. The pillow top was amazing, I definitely agree with you there. I feel funny being almost 30 years old and buying my first "real" bedroom set! Every penny went to the kids and other rooms before now!

He's definitely ready for it. He's a pretty stationary sleeper. I was thinking I could start him out on the bottom bunk... he probably wont go for that though!! Im just so super excited to fully furnish a house with all brand new stuff!!! Eeeeeek! We had nice furniture before, but this is different.

I havent heard of that, Ill have to google. I only know of Ethan Allen, Jordans Furnitre and Bobs!

I'm hoping to just pay in cash for everything, but 0% financing is certainly enticing!

We pretty much did the same thing, the only things we kept from TX were our table and half of our bedroom set since we upgraded to a king bed. BEST thing ever.

Chele I am SO excited! I'm giddy! When they deliver everything I'll be more exciting than a kid on christmas morning!

I also love restoration hardware! we have one very close to us, I didnt think of looking there.

i just cannot WAIT to get everything in, and then start the interior decorating.

When did your husband ETS!? I totally missed something! Congrats!!! What is his civilian job?! Having furniture that is going to stay in one place for a while is definitely a positive! Are you guys still in Savannah? God, I love that city! So incredibly beautiful.
