Maybe she will surprise ya! Maybe they will take it out and she will hand in until her due date...or longer! I'm due May 27th and having a VBAC and I asked if they would let me go past my due date and they saaid "Oh yeah. We'll induce if she isn't born by 42 weeks". What.The. Hell?? LOL

April 30 is the earliest, it depends on when my doc has surgical duty that week.

My last was born at 23 weeks and my cervix is shortening even with meds and a stitch. She's probably not hanging out til 40 weeks. I wouldn't mind if she did, but its highly doubtful.

The stitch isn't a "maybe you don't need it" sort of thing. And I have irritable uterus to go with it, so it's not like I won't have contractions on my own.

Well, good luck to you, whatever day the stitch comes out! I do look forward to your updates.

She really is. I'm not sticking out as far this time because she's so VERTICAL all the time. Smidget was a side-to-side kid, so he was always out of my pelvis and sticking WAY out. She, however, likes to sit with her butt in my cervix (where she was today) and put her head as high as she can. I'm short, so she's ALL through my torso, more low, obviously, but still REALLY high into my torso for how she lives in my cervix. I think she's a long one :D

You'd be surprised. :) A bunch of ladies with cerclages end up needing to be induced at the end because of the scar tissue, etc. I got my cerclage taken out last time at 34 weeks (due to contractions and dilation through the cerclage) and they had to drag the kid out at 39 weeks. Stubborn little bugger. :D Sadly that's how it worked with all of the boys. Maybe they just get confused because we spend so much time telling them to stay put. ;)

I will say it was a pretty miserable last few weeks because I had been contracting every couple of minutes for months at that point. Fingers crossed it won't happen like that for you though.
