Quoting Summer+[two]:" okay well it used to be a joint account i just dont use it anymore. i have my own account with the same bank and i dont mess with his crap."

But, you do. You did today.

If you aren't on the account, whether you are married or not, he could get you for stealing his information. If he is truly withholding your w2's, call the police or something. Stop trying to condone what you did. Yes, he is being an ass and screwing you over, but you didn't do anything any better by stealing his money.

I HAVE been in a similar situation, so I DO know what it feels like, but NEVER ONCE did I steal money out of his account. Don't think that someone who refuses to say "you do what you've got to do" doesn't understand what it's like to have nothing and to struggle. The difference is that not all of us resort to criminal behavior to provide for our kids.

Quoting Summer+[two]:" unless he took it off in the last few months then yes. i dont deal with his account. "

Why don't you go check that, but since you've already admitted you don't use that account, if your ex goes after you for theft, and you've got a real hard-ass for a judge, you're screwed.

Quoting Summer+[two]:" honestly he has several warrants out for his arrest, no legal license, and no legal vehicle. hes not going to take me to court lmao"

You can say that, but his own behavior doesn't cancel yours out.

Also, HE doesn't have to take you to court, all he has to do is call the police and report it. The DISTRICT ATTORNEY will take you to court.

Quoting Summer+[two]:" He could. But that would take too much effort on his part. Then he may actually have to see his children. "

You are sounding awfully cocky and nonchalant about this. You say you feel bad, but now it sounds like you really don't. You came here wanting everyone to tell you what you did was okay, and we didn't. Don't act butthurt and defensive now and act cocky that you aren't going to get in trouble for it. You might be surprised what he WILL do when you eff with his money.

What does you stealing and committing fraud have to do with visitation with his children?

Please. All you have to do is call your employer/daycare/whatever and get another W-2

Calling the cops and telling them you stole his money isn't going to make him see his kids.

I don't get how you think this is all okay. My DH's checks go into MY bank account cause he doesn't have one in his name right now and he isn't on the account. But, before I spend anything, I ask him. Even if we were separated and he was being a dick, I still wouldn't steal his money.

I wouldnt worry about it hun, I would have done the same as you. He cant walk away from his responsibilites like alot of men think they can. Even if he did try to bring you to court about it, it would be thrown out because he has no proof it was you..Unless you signed something or its tied to you somehow they cant do anything for all they know he paid it and got pissed off and wants it back..
