"A floating toilet, a floating Petri dish, a floating hell."

The first Carnival Triumph lawsuit has been filed.

If you were on the ship, would you sue?

...no I don't think I would. But id never go on another cruise lol.

There are so many places around the world without running water, a/c, toilets..ect. she should be thankful they didn't hit an iceberg and sink.

I wonder if people that survived the Titanic sued.

I think I would sue. There's absolutely no reason why that ship had passengers on it in that condition. If there was a barge to tow them back where they needed to be, there could have been other transportation arranged for the passengers, so they didn't have to suffer disgusting unsanitary conditions.

I heard about this, sounds awful and makes me never want to go on a cruise. The cruise line is refunding everybody...but I guess if you time and money to pursue a court case go for it. I probably wouldn't sue, though...and I wouldn't judge anyone who wanted to sue- totally understandable

No. Stuff happens. They are offering things in return of that happen. It's not like they did it on purpose

I'm pretty sure they will settle, they won't want to drag this out in the public eye of a courtroom.

I probably would. I will NEVER go on a cruise even if it is free.
What they are offering isn't even close to what they should be offering.

I'd want more than my money back. I could have not paid a dime to hang out at home. Hell- I could have made money going to work. I wanted to take a vacation and instead I had to endure all that? I think I'd at least want lost wages.

I have only heard horrible things about cruises. I will never be taking one!

I think I probably would. Who knows what kind of diseases or whatever you can get from all that floating waste. And I read in another article that it was "knee length". *gag*

I think I would. They weren't properly prepared or stocked for such an emergency. They didn't have enough formula to feed any babies, I heard on HLN that some babies went a day and a half without eating :( For that alone, yes. I'm pretty sure I would. And then put anything I get into a savings account for my baby :) I think that would be fair.

I'm pretty anti sue, but in this case I would. They were aware the ship was having problems and still used it. They also allowed these people to sit in shit for days. They should have evacuated them.

These people paid money to go on a cruise and to be pampered. Not to relive how people survive in a third world country. Those two scenarios don't relate in the least.

To answer the OP yes, I would sue. And I wouldn't give two flying healthy f**ks what anyone thought. I feel for those people.

Thats what i didnt get. They could have simply called another ship to get them and towed the messed up one back to port. I
