It seriously sounds like you have been truly misinformed about BFing OP. And here is the truth about it. Bfing does not in and of itself make you b**bs saggy. And if you don't plan to BF there is no reason what so ever to bf the first time. However bfing is the best thing you can do for your child. It will give them the best start. And not only is it good for baby it is good for you. It helps fight PPD, it helps contract your uterus down to pre-pregnancy size, and it helps you lose weight. Plus it helps you develop a bond with your baby. It isn't necessarily true that you will take on look at your baby and fall madly in love bonding can take time and BFing will help you with that. And because you are younger you are more at risk of developing PPD and having a hard time bonding with your LO. I sincerely hope that you reconsider BFing and try to educated yourself a little better about the benefits.

Well, it'll be free either way she goes. BFing is the better/healthier route, though. I wish she'd see that.

If the nurses weren't so rude to me when I had my oldest I wouldn't have BF him at all. I didn't want to but they made me feel like shit so I just did to make them leave me alone. I ended up BF him for 3 weeks and -had- to give him formula because he was losing too much weight. When I had my second I was determined to BF for at least a year and ended up tandem feeding him and DD for 2 months and they are 2.5 years apart lol... Even though I gave up with DD I'm happy I made it as long as I did and I never would have tried once if the nurses didn't pressure me so bad.

:) Glad she's feeling better!

But yeah, I agree. Not to mention... breast milk can cure ear infections, and I believe eye infections. Total natural remedy. I don't know why anyone wouldn't at least TRY

Breastfeeding is amazing. It actually helps prevent ADULT onset diabetes!!! I think that is crazy about breastfeeding...

OP. I advise really looking into breastfeeding and the pros and cons. I will admit that at ties it can be very time consuming and your child is up at the two hour mark instead of the four hour mark. Isnt it worth being a little extra tired for a few months to give your child a lifetime of healthy? Your b**bs sag from pregnancy not from breastfeeding. Your milk will come in no matter what.

<blockquote><b>Quoting kthx.:</b>" Why would you only breast feed for the first time? Breast milk IS best. And btw, your b**bs don't sag ... [snip!] ... least with breastfeeding you can have awesome full tits for however long you BF, instead of going straight to saggy tit "</blockquote>

I'd give it a go op. there's no harm in trying, honestly, you have nothing to lose! Maybe set a goal of 8 weeks, then 3 months, 6 etc...
It's actually really convenient to breast feed and it's free!

That being said, my first I bf for nearly a year and my b**bs were fine after.
My second a fair bit longer and it did f**k my tits up.

I would have died if I had to get up in the middle of the night to fix a bottle all the time. It is awesome to just stick my baby on a b**b and go back to sleep. :D

Oh and for the record my b**bs never got saggy. I had awesome porn star b**bs while breastfeeding my son, they were huge and they never sagged. after 8 pregnancies - still perky. its not the breastfeeding, its genetics that cause it

BFing also greatly reduces YOUR risk of getting breast cancer in the future. You want saggy tits or no tits?
