<blockquote><b>Quoting speaktruth2powr:</b>" I think she is far too young for something like this. Especially if she is already conflicted and feeling ... They didn't have a relationship with him. He left while they were babies and never chose to saw them, then he moved. We all agreed that adoption was the best route because even as my ex put it, my DH was their real dad. It was hard for my ex, but he just wasnt and isn't available to be a part of their lives and he wanted what was best for them.

in that case, i would definitely say no. as stated before, imo the letters wouldn't be in their best interest. it would be more for his own comfort and feeling guilty. it would only make the girls more confused as to why he's not around and stuff. but that's jmo.

That's just my ex. I know it's weird. I find the whole thing confusing. This is the way it has been since we separated. He even sometimes talks to my husband. And he used to talk about calling them on occasion prior to the adoption, but all it was was talk. He is a nice guy who ha a lot of troubles in his life, an he has just always respected my advice and opinions, so I guess this is the main reason he text so much.

Thanks for the advice, ladies!
