What's the most destructive thing your child has done?
I want to hear some funny stories. Pictures would be cute, too.

LO is 22 months.. the most he has done is dump the canister of oats in the floor, and pasta noodles.

Today he showed me a spot on the wall that he took a crayon too. He said it was an "uh-oh"

Yep. An Uh-oh alright.

Pulled the paneling off half the kitchen in our last condo. It was that white glossy... stuff, I think it's wood or polymer or something underneath, but it's very light and very easy to pull off if you have a mind for destruction.

I wasn't paying attention and she was playing in the kitchen. Suddenly I realized I hadn't heard her for a few minutes and went to check, and there she was, pulling the paneling off the cupboards.

Good thing it was an easy fix but it was definitely destructive and scared me before the guy came out and fixed them and said it happens all the time.

All I did was brush my teeth. In that time one kid broke a quart sized mason jar in the living room (it shattered, tiny pieces) and the other dumped a whole economy sized bottle of dish washing liquid onto the kitchen floor.
Luckily no one was hurt but now I have an answer for that whole "why do sahms let themselves go?" question. Can't even brush your teeth without mayhem!

My daughter is 20 months old and the other day she got a pudding cup out of the fridge and smeared pudding all over her dress and the carpet. Later that same day she was pulling stuff out of the trash can and throwing it on the floor.

Ekk. Sharpie.

He did take acrylic lime green paint to our new mattress.
It's still there, IDK how to get it out.

Drawing on the walls of our rented place with sharpie. That one pisses me off the most.

One time she got into the toothpaste and had it all over my bathroom. It smelled minty for like a week and toothpaste is a bitch to clean up.

our walls have been colored on with crayons, markers, pencil, pens, and only god knows what else. our older loveseat too. random times some kind of flour, oats, rice, SYRUP, cereal has been poured out onto the floor. (btw i have 4 kids and this has happened over the course of 9 years since my oldest was born) my son who is almost 4 has an anger issue and has put a HOLE in the wall and broke a cabinet door. they will peel off paint or pull trimming if its loose at all. kids in general are destructive if they are bored. (this always happens on a rainy day or a day that we had no where to go back when i had no car.) they tear up papers and books, find ways to get water and pour it all over the place, last week my daughter whos 5 and knows better really got the dish soap and made a mess with it. this is just what i can think of right now.

When my oldest was about 4yrs old I had put her down for a nap. Apparently she didn't want to so she decided to take all the toys that could fit through a hole in the screen and pushed out the window needless to say the porch roof was covered with toys and some made it to the sidewalk. The funny part I had went upstairs to use the restroom and she followed me in and says to me mommy don't look out my window.

If it's any consolation to those dealing with the destructive periods, my dad has pictures of when I was my DD's age, 2.5, and utterly destroyed my bedroom. I'm talking permanent damage to the furniture, broke the trim on the windows, kicked out a hole in a closet door, carpet pulled up, big dents in the walls, destroyed bedding, pulled wallpaper off, and used a LEGO to put irreparable scratches in the windows. Why? Allegedly, I was told to take a nap.

My dad likes to bring them out whenever I moan about something minor DD has done, and I'm astounded. I don't think I could do that level of damage now at the physical peak of my life.

Point being? Remember that it doesn't last long. Despite a few years of epic destructiveness and tantrums that would scare Chuck Norris, I don't have anger or behavior issues as an adult and was actually a really good tween and teenager. Maybe I got most of my bad behavior out early on.

Sounds like Isaac. hah! He dumped his cup of milk on the coffee table.. and swished it around with his hands. SO's reaction was "Isaac, that's hateful!" lol

I hate cleaning up real messes like that. IDK something about those kind of messes make me want to loose my shit.

It makes DH lose his shit but I'm over it. I hate when she pulls everything off the table or desks.
