Quoting Captain Lauren + ?:" Yeah her parents have to pay half the bill. The girl's boyfriend's facebook is on total lock down but I did find a picture of her. "

That is so fucked up. She insists on having the baby but can't even afford the bill, and expects mommy and daddy to cover it. The person paying the bill should get some say in whether or not they want to do so. I mean...wtf.

That's just super.

I feel bad for her parents. She gets knocked up on purpose, expects them to foot the bill and just let her skip off and get married. Classic.

Oh wow.

Actually, kind of sounds like the parents probably knew she was trying to get pregnant. It would make more sense having her on lock-down BEFORE she's knocked up, not after. But now that she is pregnant, they're going through on their threat to cut her off... and she's won a court order to prevent them from doing that.

hmm.. I don't know what to think right now.

Pretty much, huh. I get the impression that she called some kind of Pro Life group that talked her into suing/paid for it so she could be their poster girl and they'd have a high profile abortion related trial.

It just slays me that she expects mommy and daddy to pay her medical bills.

She's probably always had everything handed to her.

I can say.. enlisting the life of the Pro-lifers was a smart move, but I doubt it was her idea. Who knows.... it'll be interesting to see how this plays out!

yeah, I've looked at a couple more articles and WOW. Spoiled little b***h.

So a family member of the father hooked her up with the people who give free lawyers for cases like these apparently. I would be having words with that person.

And pretty much all the ruling is, is that they can't even mention abortion to her. Can't even bring it up because it's "coercion". And they HAVE to pay for her medical bills, car, and phone. Since when are a car and phone a necessity for a teen? For f**k's sake.

It looks like they said she could get married to the dude---and in that case they're responsible for her bills themselves.

Ugh.

I went this with my parents, they semi-brainwashed me into thinking that if I went to a doctor that I would have to get an abortion. Guess where I moved into...a woman's shelter then a bar then a RV next to bar. No phone, a crappy car.

Like I said she is ten weeks, who knows.

I agree with something's said by you ladies but the one thig I do not agree with is that she should not be forced to abort her child, no one should. IMO. If my daughter got pregnant at 16 I would give her the choice but you best believe if she chose to keep her child she would be working to help support that child but I would never make her kill her baby. It's wrong to do that to anyone.

I don't think she should be forced to abort necessarily, but I do think the people she expects to foot the bill should get to have some input-and if they don't want to financially support the child? Well, she chose to have the baby, she chose adulthood. Paying for your own shit goes along with that. If she can't do that, she should abort or give the baby up. I think filing a lawsuit against her parents is bullshit & I'm sure she was put up to it by someone.

the ONLY thing I would pay for would be for her to go off to a home for pregnant teens, especially after she had a hissy fit and sued me. I would put the little skank in her place.

Your right she should have to pay her own shit, but I don't think a lawsuit was bullshit if it was the only way for her to keep her child alive... I would have fought just as hard for my daughter if I had to.

Everything I read said she was already living with the father's parents. So, unless her mom was sneaking over there and putting abortion pills in place of vitamins, I really doubt the lawsuit was the only way. She threw a hissy fit and didn't want her parents to have any input at all, so she sued them to get her way, which is getting to do whatever she wants while they pay for it and don't get to say a single word about it. She wanted her parents to throw her a big party and be happy about their 16 year old ruining her life. Not happening.

She didn't really fight. The lawyers were pro bono and now her parents have a restraining order not to see her but they have to pay. It like someone saying stay 100 feet away from me but you have to give me 1,000 a month.

EXACTLY. Or, sign me over to make another huge mistake and let me get married at 16.

And, ok, the medical bills I guess...I mean, you pay your kid's medical bills. I guess I can sort of see that even though I don't agree with them having to pay for the baby's medical bills at all...whatever. I'm shocked they have to pay for her phone and car. I would be appealing that shit immediately.
