I was induced last time due to pre-e. And though it was a long process (24 hours from cervidil to birth), it went pretty smoothly. C-section was never even brought up.

Did it hurt more than normal? Everything ok with the baby's heart rate?

I didn't have anything to compare it to. Labor didnt feel good, but I was still able to get up and walk a bit. I got on the yoga ball thing for a good while. Her heart rate was always good. Never seemed to be under any real stress.

I had problems after she was born. My uterus was really tired and wouldn't stop bleeding. They gave me a shot, that literally made me shit myself , just like they said it would. But that was the only complication I had. I dont know if it was overtired because of pitocin or if I just have a wussy uterus.

I had a great induction. Did it all natural and it was easier and less painful than my first natural birth without pitocin.

I was 5 cm, they broke my water and started pitocin, I delivered 36 minutes later. No issues with babies heartrate or anything. It couldnt have gone any better!!

Do you have to be induced for a medical reason? If not, I'd ask for more time. Baby measuring big is not a valid medical reason unless you had issues previously.

My doc actually lied to me...yes lied...and said I had high blood pressure, which my L&D nurse said was a crock of shit. My bp was normal. Said my doc is known for inducing patients based on her custody arrangements...yup. She had her kids that weekend and didn't want to risk getting called in. Obviously I've changed OBs for this pregnancy. I had actually been asked since week 36 when I wanted to be induced, in which I told I didn't unless it was for medical reasons. Have birth on my due date.

I was induced and it sucked. In labor for 36 hours, and things only started happening after they broke my water. The cervidal did NOTHING and it was painful :( Only good things was I delivered vaginally. I was very worried about having a c-section.

Your due date could be off by two weeks. Why rush it when the baby isn't ready yet? Is it medically necessary to induce you?

To answer your questions.....
Was induced with Pitocin. Had an excellent experience. I was 0cm & 0% effaced. The pitocin and epidural were both started at 6am. I had DD at 9:27am. Whole process lasted 3 hours and 27 minutes.
