Did you give your 6 month old prunes as a regular food to make sure they arent allergic or did you avoid it until they had a constipation issue?

I mean its just plums so I figured it would be normal to give but now I'm second guessing myself. :?

Eh, really? I havent opened them. I seriously thought the Gerber bananas were fermented. It smelled like bananas foster complete with alcohol. I had to open another pack just to make sure LO wasnt getting drunk. LOL.

I was thinking of doing either prunes or pears next. Both supposedly help with constipation, although I never knew pears worked. Fiber is fiber, i guess.

Once we get past the 1st stage, I'm going to start making my own. I was just afraid that I wouldnt get it thin enough because this is my first child and I had ZERO idea of what baby food is like. I found an awesome website that outlines everything for me. I'm pretty excited.

I never pureed anything for my second. At 6 months she went straight to table food just cut up small.

I tried, they were too strong for him.

We did small amounts of prune juice mixed with apple juice instead.

He had constipation problems.
