At the past 3 ultrasounds, the techs told me that my fluid was on the lower side, and last week, the tech told me baby was measuring 2 weeks behind.
is it true that drinking a TON of water can increase the fluid?
i have not seen my doctor since the last ultrasound, so i dont know what they want to do about it yet. i see them on the 5th.

Idk but it might work since the fluid is baby's urine... not sure. Google it.

I was just told this and I was at my 33 week appointment. I drank.more fluids and was told it was in normal range. So I would just drink more fluids, nothing too sugary and just try and limit it to ice water. How far along are ya?

I overheard someone at my OB talking about having low fluid... she was told that they were going to admit her and try to re-hydrate her to see if it would bring the fluid up... so I'm guessing drinking a ton of water could help. If nothing else, you'll feel a lot better.

Well I didn't have low fluid so early, so they just induced me at 39 weeks for it. I have heard water works wonders! I would definitely do it, low fluid can cause a lot of issues.

My sister had this starting at 23 weeks. You have to drink lots of fluids which makes babies kidneys work more, in turn producing more amniotic fluid. You need to take it easy in case you have a slow leak which is what she had. My sister went into labor and had her son in the car on the side of the interstate trying to get to a hospital that would try to save the baby (she was supposedly 23 weeks so the hospital here said he wasn't "viable"-when they did the pathology testing, he was 25 weeks which was viable). I don't mean to scare you but if it helps save anyone else's baby, I want to do ao. Drink Drink Drink and stay in the bed. Good luck.

I would suggest drinking lots of water, and try to lay down and rest as much as possible. I was put on bedrest at 36 weeks with my middle baby because of low fluid. They didn't worry too much about it at that point, but when I hit 39 weeks I had to have an emergency csection because there was no fluid left. Just keep on top of it and see what the doc says. They can sometimes try to replace the fluid.
