So, I got my Paragard put in yesterday after having DS 5 weeks ago. I've never had an IUD, so I'm not familiar with how my body is supposed to react.
I know cramping is normal and I know a little spotting is normal.
But, I've been passing a few clots :/ Not large, but the biggest was like dime sized. Is that normal?
Also, tell me about your experience with Paragard. Love it, hate it? I feel like I made the right choice since I hate hormones and I can't be bothered to take a pill every day.

I never had any clots with mirena. But I was also like, 2 months PP. That cold still be PP bleeding.

I'm thinking of getting this, so I'm hoping there are positive Comments

That's what I was thinking, since I was still spotting sporadically. But, I didn't want to, like, be dying and not know it, lol.
I've heard pretty much nothing but positive comments about it which is what lead me to choose it.

Not sure with the clots, never had that issue. I hated paragard during the first 6 months. My periods were insanely crampy, I was in the fetal position on the couch at one point. It does take your body some time to get use to it and adjust to having a foreign object in your uterus. I've had it for over a year and I love it. I don't cramp as bad during my periods. My flow is heavy but it's always been. That's not a big deal to me. I'll take a 7 day period with a couple of heavy days over a pregnancy right now.

it sounds like its probably just PP bleeding that may be getting irritated by the IUD I had paragard for about 2 years and it was awesome, it did make my periods a little heavier, but i didn't care since i didn't have to deal with hormones or taking a pill everyday or a patch every week or whatever. My husband did have a complaint about it tho, he said he could feel the wire with the tip of his head when we would have sex, but it didn't slow him down much so it couldn't have been that bad lol.

Shoot I'll take cramps with no hormones vs depo right now. I need this shit out of my system.

I think it is mostly PP bleeding. My doctor wouldn't do mine until at least 8 weeks PP :? I just had it put in yesterday . I love it, had it between babys 2 and 3 for a year but the doctor that did it was an idiot and put it in wrong so it had to come out and I didn't want to cramp for a week so I didn't have a new one put in. I'm hoping this time it goes better, I have already stopped cramping and am back to normal.

 That last comment is exactly what I said to my OB. My 3 are all 16 months apart; it's time to give my uterus a very LONG break.

Oh wow! My two are 19 months apart, I'd die if I had another right now. We aren't ready for that lol.
