Try one serving of the chicken with a big serving of a fresh, steamed vegetable.

Big portions of healthy food is still unhealthy.

You should have portion control in every meal.

Do one portion of chicken and some vegetables. Eat the vegetables first so they're not sitting on top of your protein.

Protein has a high thermic effect which causes it to digest extremely slow and you lose a lot of the vitamins and enzymes that are the point of eating vegetables, when they're sitting on top of protein.

What about raw, would that still be the same amount of benefits?

It would be healthier than a large steak. I used to eat about two chicken breasts with viggies for dinner all the time when I was trying to gain some muscle. Its got about 25g of protein per serving.

I'm glad I asked then. I honestly didn't know that eating vegetables before meat was better. Thanks for the tip.

Just curious, are you a nutritionist or something along those lines, or just really health-conscious?

Really health conscious. I've read almost every book I can find on it.

This was what I was trying to figure out. I'm not sure if I want/need to gain muscle at this time since i'm just working on a healthier food change? I'm so new to this lifestyle change, I don't know what I want/need lol.

Oh. Yeah, sounds like you know a lot about that stuff. Maybe it's a field you should work in.
