My daughter has had a runny nose for the past few days. It's been so bad that at times it's made it hard for her to breathe. There have been a few times that she has woken up screaming because she couldn't breathe and it scared her. Is there a safe over-the-counter decongestant that I can give to her? She is 6 months old. Thanks in advance!
Nope there is nothing you can use. Only saline drops, suck them out, and sit in a hot steamy bathroom.

This is about all you can do.
Well crap...that really sucks! She doesn't like when I mess with her nose and she hates the suction bulb. Guess I'll just have to continue to make her mad. Thanks for the advice ladies!
If her nose is runny, means shes draining, which is good...
run a cool mist humidifier at night, helps with the congestion, and her breathing.
Cool mist vaporizer. And they have "Vicks" for babies, too
They make these Vicks plug ins. You plug it into the wall, make the whole room smell like Vicks.
I put Eucalyptus oil in my humidifier for Booger. I also get the Pedicare Gentle Vapors, it's like Vicks but is a little strip that you put into the plug for the wall ( I made no sense then lol ) but it fills the room with the vapors to help clear the nose out
