I'm guessing this is the forum I should post this in, I am looking for any helpful suggestions. My son was born on February 4th and has been in the nicu since the 5th. I have been pumping for him and was doing really good. Well this past week my schedule has gotten really out of wack and my supply has suffered from it So if anybody has any suggestions or known ways to help boost milk supply I would greatly appreciate it. I really want to be able to keep him on breast milk while he is in the nicu. unfortunetly I cant really breast feed him due to him being in the nicu and we have a 3 1/2 year old at home and the nicu is about a 2 hour drive so I can not be up there all the time as I wish I could be. This is also alot of why my schedule got messed up. so any helpful suggestions are welcome and I would greatly appericiate it :)
Keep pumping every 1 1/2 to every 2 hours. Drink plenty of fluids and also pick up some Mother's Milk Tea(available at Wal Mart). Good luck!!!
I will definetly try those! I have been working on getting back to pumping every two hours which is slowly helping but I will look into the tea to. my son is a big boy and is taking alot for feedings to so I gotta get all I can. Thank you
