Did you even read the caption? It has nothing to do with the fetus. It's a pro life propaganda picture.

Quoting *KatteyBug*:" I never understood that law. If a baby is a baby when the mother is murdered then how come it isn't when the mother aborts it? They need to make up their minds...."

I have no idea.
I mean, I guess they need the law to protect certain aspects of abortion.
For example, if the mother's life was in danger or the baby was guaranteed to be born with such severe defects that it would be caused great pain and suffering just being brought into this world- than they want to make later term abortion legal. It's too difficult to put speculations around that. They kind of just have to make it legal all the way around in most cases.

You're okay. I know you didn't mean to, it was moved over to "The Drama Corner" to keep it out of S&L. No biggie, takes time to learn those things.

It's a stillbirth. I'd call it a still birth and nothing more. That baby wouldn't survive without the mother, so it's not it's own life

Actually no I didn't read the picture. I just glanced the article to make sure that was it. So I could hurry and post the link. I just seen the tiny feet. That's where I can say SORRY for the wrong info about the picture you guys.

Very odd case. Hardly hear stories as such.

If this story is true, I am not sure if she has the legal grounds to sue or not.
I think they probably should have called an ambulance if she wanted them too for transport to a hospital. and throwing the baby in the garbage was not right when they themselves didn't have anything to do with the delivery.
I'm pro choice. Even though I myself would never have a second trimester abortion unless the baby could not live or would suffer greatly outside the womb, I do believe in someone's right to choose.

It makes you think that's for sure. Any woman wishing to have an abortion should definitely research the clinic they are going to. This man had five malpractice suits against him that he paid off to keep his license.

Seems to me like the clinic was negligent by not properly monitoring the patient and allowing her to give birth unattended in the first place. But that's where their responsibility ends. The woman chose to terminate, and I'm sure it would be traumatic for anyone to be in that situation, but she took the medications they gave her to induce labor, and she did the whole thing on her own free will. What happened after that got ugly, for sure, but I don't see how it was anything out of line.

What's the logic in trying to save the life of a 23 week fetus that was supposed to be terminated? Who's going to pay those medical bills? Who's going to convince the woman within moments of it happening that she should sign over the rights to some mystery adoptive parent? That's crazy.
