February 17th (last Sunday) I was admitted for high blood pressure and swelling in my hands, feet, and face. They started IV fluids and decided to have me stay the night for observation and to do a 24 hour urine screening. By late that night I had swollen double from the time of admission.
February 18th (Last Monday) I started vomiting but all my tests had come back fine no liver, kidney, gallbladder, or appendix issues. My 24 hour urine was 4 points above normal so beginning pre-e but nothing to bad I was still contracting every minuet and stuck at 2 cm and continuing to swell they did an ultrasound to check on the baby due to his heart rate dipping he was estimated at 8 pounds 4 ounces at 36 weeks and 6 days. I started vomiting around 9pm and lasted till the next morning.
February 19th (Last Tuesday) I vomited all day till Wednesday morning well over 24 hours. I would vomit every 15 to 20 minutes I never realized there where different stages of bile mine went from yellow, green then brown. I could barely understand what was going on and they continued doing more test's saying they knew there was something wrong but they just couldn't figure out what it was. They tested my white blood cell count and it was normal so the flu was ruled out.
February 20th (Last Wednesday) I was still vomiting when my doctor came in and said they were going to do an emergency C-section I don't remember to much until I was in the OR and they were putting in the spinal block. Once in I started feeling better and stopped vomiting he was out in 15 minutes weighing 8 pounds even and 20 inches long at 37 weeks gestation.
My doctor told me that the way the baby was positioned and his weight caused the issues I was experiencing and that he would not have been able to fit threw the birth canal hence why I was contracting every minuet for 5 days and stuck at 2 cm and growing sicker with each passing day. They almost lost my son and I before my C-section and I am grateful for everything they did to save our lives.
We are now home and he is 5 days old and perfect in every way will post pictures a little later after I finish uploading just wanted to share my birth story and say through this experience I honestly learned that when some people say they are too small to deliver a certain size baby I will never look down at them again or say yea right for without this experience I would have never known it could be true in some cases.
Wow that sounds so rough! I'm glad you both are okay though! That's a pretty big guy for 37 weeks along! :) Congrats!
congrats on the baby
