light red/pink watery bleeding *Bigheat09* Due July 8 (girl); 1 child; Woodstock, GA, United States 3585 posts

Hi everyone!

I have been experiencing some weird things this month that usually never happen. I have 27 day cycles and my period comes religiously every month. This month it was 5 days late. I started spotting without cramping a few days ago (Saturday) which I thought was odd because I usually never spot before my period starts, and the blood was bright pink and watery. Yesterday I started experiencing light cramping and the blood got a teeny tiny bit heavier (still not enough to fill a tampon or a pad) and there are no clots whatsoever. My normal periods are very heavy for the first two days and there are a lot of clots that come with it. This one is just off for some reason. I have not taken a pregnancy test since my "missed period". My Husband also mentioned to me the other day that (sorry for all the TMI lol) my nipples are a lot darker now. I have not felt normal these two weeks at all and I do feel that there is a chance that I could be pregnant, but the bleeding (bright pink/ watery red) and mild cramping is scary. Has anyone else experienced something similar to this and would be able to help me?

Have you taken a HPT? you should do one and see what it says, but regardless you should get a blood test and get your body checked out. I kind of am in the same situation without the bleeding/spotting. Make an appointment right away.
I am also 4 or 5 days late TTC baby #2 & I have gotten a negative test yesterday and an error this morning so I am a bit discouraged. but, I am still holding on to the hope that I am pregnant :)

If you are curious as to whether or not you are pregnant, take a test. :)

I had spotting in my cm from 5 weeks until 13 weeks. I'm now 16 weeks pregnant. Just test and go from there. It could just be a weird period...

You should still test though. If you are spotting and pregnant, you need to make sure you let a dr know.

Hey Heather! This is just my guess... it could be implantation. I had cramping but no bleeding for implantation. Some people bleed with implantation. You never know. You really should test though!!!

Its going well! :) She's moving and shaking and makes my son look like a lazy bum lol Every pregnancy is different. I had absolutely no indication of anything with B. No cramping, no nothing. Witht this baby, I had implantation cramps at 7 DPO and then sore breasts started the same day. With B, the only reason I tested was because we were TTC but I had no feelings or anything.

Yeah something about this time feels very odd. I have no other symptoms besides the color change in nipples and being pissy all the time haha, and I just have an overwhelming feeling. I am sooo happy for you!

No we haven't been preventing or trying. We planned on waiting a little while before trying for another one. I was really thrown when my period was late by 5 days. Everything I research about the light red/pink bleeding with a little cramping has said miscarriage so I am really afraid to even test but you never know!

oh no. The light pink/red bleeding and cramping is very common with implantation. I understand not wanting to find out if you are just incase you might be miscarrying. Someetimes its better not to know. I hope that you get answers soon! Either a period or a bright pink positive :)
