Going for a D & C on Thursday brkwall33 TTC since Jan 2013; 1 angel baby; Michigan 6 posts

I am scared and bummed. I am 7 weeks and 1 day pregnant and today I found out that my baby stopped growing last week. There is gestational sac but no fetal pole or anything. This was my first pregnancy, I was artificially inseminated. But I knew when the brown blood started up and my HCG levels weren't right that something was up. Today at my ultrasound my thoughts were proven right.
I wont give up, I will become a mom. Just not this time

why were you artificially inseminated if you don't mind me asking? Keep your head up and keep trying :) GL

I am sorry to hear that. I've had 3 miscarriages, and had a D&C with the third one(it was a blighted ovum and the pain of bleeding for a couple of days here and a couple of days there over a two week period from Feb 16 to 28 Feb was emotionally draining and hard). My doc gave me the option to wait it out or have the D&C. I wanted to start the healing process, so I opted for the surgery.

I do like your positive attitude. "I will be a mom, just not this time." It's uplifting.

Got tired of trying to find mister right. I want a baby real bad. I am 34 and not going to waste my time waiting for someone that may never show up. So me and my family decided this was the best route

Do you have to pay for it?

I don't blame you. Mr. Right is hard to find. If your family is supportive of you, that is so much better. Good for you. Like I said, I really do like your attitude. It's uplifting and refreshing.

Thanks. I know It will be harder for me on Thursday but right now it doesn't seem real. I am bummed cause it cost me almost $1000 for the procedure but I will do it again. I am ok with this happening. Last night I prayed to god that if something is wrong take it now not farther into the pregnancy. I know its wrong to pray for that but it is easier for me I guess to accept it this way. I will be a mom, when the time comes and i will keep trying till that happens. Thanks again everyone!!
