I'm weaning my 1yo DD off of the bottle. Next week will be the first week off of the bottle. She turned one this week. I have a question and it might be stupid. She has been getting up once in the night (which is cool with me b/c I hate having her wake up in the a.m. with a full, wet diaper). Anyway, when she gets up in the night she drinks a bottle. So, after the bottle is gone, what do I do when she gets up at 2 in the morning and she's hungry??? I'm thinking a sippy cup of warm milk????

Do you think she is really hungry or taking the bottle for comfort? I never considered this until someone brought it to my attention and then one night instead of the bottle I just picked my son up and rocked him for about 5-10 minutes and he went back to sleep. He now sleeps through the night (15months) unless he is teething and then he wakes up with some discomfort. Maybe see if the rocking will work instead of a bottle?

Unless you are brushing her teeth before you put her back to bed, just give her water.
