Quoting Kim ♥ 2247517922:" Here is one from today... She was so sleepy... so I decided to edit her face into looking a bit happier hahaha These girls... omgoodness these girls... so cute! ha"

The girls under the bridge is cute. :) I like the one of just the little girl. Only CC I see is the background is a bit noisy. The tree coming atop her head looses the focus on specifically her. I would maybe have PS that tree out. Just an idea. :)

What time of day did you shoot? It seems like the sunlight is a little harsh which will result in squinting. Next time, if you can, try to shoot in the golden hour or with their backs towards the sun instead of directly in the sun. I think you did awesome making her smile though.

I would just edit the very last picture you posted differently. Maybe with a bold black & white? I'm not a huge fan of sepia, because it creates a really flat image IMO. & If you use vignette, I would do one that is barely noticeable, rather than a really think one around the picture. It's just one of those things "fauxtogs" do, heavy vigeneting. lol. I think you did good for your first session though.

I tried to schedule later during the day but she insisted on 3pm due to naps and dinner plans. I also steered us toward the boardwalk/bridge thing so I could get some decent shots in the shade... but the kiddos weren't feeling that haha.

I would lose the heavy vignette/black border on the photo.

I understand kids are really difficult sometimes!! I usually schedule about 1 to 2 hours before sunset, because even when you're in the sun, it's not as harsh. The lighting is much more even. But I know sometimes people are difficult with schedule times. I hope I didn't sound harsh. lol. I hate giving CC sometimes because I don't want to sound mean

I tried that reverse macro everyone was doing a couple pages ago. It kind of came out not very good because my subjects kept moving
I'm going to make DH sit still and let me shoot him.

I love the vignette  lol

That shot is for me, though... not part of her session. I would edit a little less for others. Less editing is more universal haha.
