You're posting about it on BG. On D&D ffs!
Yes, you are being judgemental.

I wouldnt leave my baby with friends or family for that long to go on vacation. My parents never went on week long vacations with out me. Vacation was always for family and this is what I will follow iwth my family. I dont see anything wrong with a weekend away from kids or like an overnight, but if you have to take a week away from your kids, why have kids?

I went away for a week to Mexico for our honeymoon. LO survived with out me and DH pretty well.

So should I not have kids since I take vacations?

I just find myself envious of everybody who has someone who wants to watch their kids lol. It takes a certain amount of trust for a parent to leave their kids with anybody and if she trusts who she leaves her child with enough then she should enjoy herself because this might be her only vacation in a long long time.

You don't think that's going overboard in the least? :?
It's healthy to have time away from your kids. For your kids, and for you and your husband. I'm not saying it's good for the kids when they're that young, but seriously? You're not going to leave your kids for more than a night or two until they move out of your house?

Because a break means you shouldn't have kids? Wow.

Every summer my parents would send me away on vacation by myself. I didn't forget them and I was gone for like 2 months at a time.

lol I know what you mean, we live too far away from family and friends. We do at home dates at night, when kids sleep once a week, and maybe once a year we get out of the house just him and me..

I couldn't leave my children to go off for 2 weeks and they're nearly 4 and 5 1/2.
I have let DD stay with my dad for about a week before when my grandpa died, but my dad was really sad and upset over the death and he asked me if she could stay. He was only like 15 minutes away also and I called like every day to see If she was ready to come home.

I especially wouldn't leave my child with a friend for an extended period of time.
