I've been sick for over 3 weeks. All 3 kids have a eye infection. DH caught the bug from me. He was up all night throwing up. Woke up this morning throwing up and crapping himself. (TMI sorry) So he called in to work. No way coul he go to work like he is. They called him earlier and told him he's fired. I don't know what the hell were gonna do now. I'm stressing bad.

I'd be contacting unemployment as soon as possible. Then as soon as he is feeling better he should be applying anywhere possible. Do you work?

He's been there for right over a year. He's been out twice and late twice. The first time he was out was when our son was at the hospital. The first time he was late was because he had car trouble and the second time was because he was in a wreck. They said he had too many points against him. He told her he has a doctors note and she said since he's a temp it doesn't matter. They have been screwing him around for months now. Same with both my brothers.

Aww I'm sorry. Thats horrible. Did he work for an at will company? If not I'd fight it. Either way tell him to file for unemployment asap, and if it really comes down to it, you can always apply for welfare. It is there for those who need it. Also I belive everything happens for a reason. Maybe he had to lose this job to get something better. Good luck hun, I hope you guys catch a break, and feel better soon.

No I don't work. I'm waiting on my second test date for my CNA since I failed the first time.

Illegal. He is covered under FMLA.

I thought so. But he said he signed a contract saying he wouldn't be late or out anymore for a year. So he doesn't think there's anything he can do.




I'm clueless. I had one job at chuck e cheese for 2 months. So I don't know how any of this works.

Sick is sick!!! That would be a crap contract that I would think would be hard to hold up. I get being late but, there are something's that can't be helped.
