Call in or wait it out? WWYD? KNZ. 3 kids; Washington 59253 posts

This is my third pregnancy.
I'm 32 weeks.
So far it's been a pretty "normal" pregnancy.
I've been in once at..19 weeks i believe, for monitoring and everything was fine.

Last night i started having more painful BH contractions,
but i kinda shrugged it off.
This morning they were more frequent & continued to be painful, accompanied by period-like cramping and back pain.

I'd have this every time i got up or laid/sat down.
I again just assumed it's one of those 'third trimester/third pregnancy' things.
Well now all evening into the night the BH's don't seem to be letting up, the period-like cramping is constant along with the back pain.

I don't want to call in because i'm 95% sure it's most likely nothing
I don't want to figure out how to go in and be monitored with the kids going to bed & have it be nothing.
I know BH is normal, and all- but at the same time, what's up with the constant period-cramping/back pain?

Advice?

Are you dehydrated?

I don't see how i could be. Water is the only thing i drink and i drink it all day.
I know that can cause it though.

Timing it is one thing i haven't done. I'll do that.
I laid down earlier and it didn't seem to change much.
But then i had to be up 'n about for Carter's scout thing tonight 'n it was just...horrible there.

Drinking water is great but if your electrolytes are off you are dehydrated.

I'd definently try and time them and see. That sounds like my second labor.

I have only had the one pregnancy and I only had BH sometimes once in the morning and every time after I orgasmed (hehe). So I didn't realize that they could come a lot like contractions. Do you normally have back pain? Have you had pre-term labor before? Personally, I would go in.... it does sound like a pre-term since you have contractions, back pain and cramping, but.. like I said, I don't know for sure.

yeah it worries me cos i had pre-term labor with my first. but that was 8 years ago and i've had a "normal" pregnancy since.

It wouldn't hurt. Research has shown that drinking Gatorade if you don't need it does absolutely nothing, so, why not? :)

How long have they been going on? My OB recommended going in or at least calling if BH lasted more than 1 hour or if you had more than 10 an hour.

I had preterm labor 8 years ago with carter,
But Clara's pregnancy was normal, no concerns.

I never have back pain and that's why i went in to be monitored a couple months ago.
I keep wanting it to wait it out 'n see if i'm good by the morning,
i did that last time- and ended up being in labor- ha, BUT that was at 37 weeks.

i don't know how many i've had an hour, but they've been coming frequently since last night.
The BH don't really concern me as much as the period-like cramping + back pain :(
