I know you can do muffins ...
But I have a cupcake recipe that I forgot to un-double and they're now coming out of my ears. Would they be all right if I stick some in the freezer (unfrosted)?

yes you can! i use to work in a bakery. Just make sure they are in a good freezer bag or sealed tightly in a freezer container and they will be just as good when they are thawed out!

Yep you can. You can also freeze the mix to bake later if you realise you've made too much before you bake it!

I do it. I scrape the frosting off as frosting doesn't always do well.
