What does it taste like or does it even have a comparable?

I've been coming across a lot of recipes on Pinterest for Quinoa and I've never heard of it, but I'd like to try it.

To me it doesn't really have a taste and takes on the taste of whatever you flavor it with.

I love it! It tastes like how ever you season it. Its a seed so consider that with texture in mind. Def give it a try, its very good for you.

It's hard to compare it to anything.
kind of like couscous but more firm in texture and more... earthy? in taste. I don't know, I really like it. SO versatile.. I literally just sautee a bunch of vegetables, and mix it with cooked quinoa and spices. YUM. Even SO likes it and he's sooo picky.
I prefer the white to the red, I find red more firm and prefer the taste of the white.

That's what I figured since it seems so versatile. I'm finding both savory and sweet recipes.

Awesome! I need to pick some up now. :)

I didn't even know that there were different kinds.

Great way to explain it! I like the red more, it takes while to get good at cooking it.
When we cook the red quinoa I use vegetable broth or half threw it cooking I add coconut milk to it, it makes it so rich.

And feel free to tell me what your favorite recipes are and ones that didn't work out too well for you!

Pinterest is great, but there isn't much or any feed back on the taste. :)
