I laid out a pork tenderloin to thaw on top of the stove a little while ago. I do this all the time, let meat partially thaw on the counter and then finish defrosting it in the microwave. Anyways, I told SO to turn the oven on and let it preheat and stick the meat in the fridge. (We have a really old gas stove and it takes a while.) Well like a big dummy he left it laying on the stove and now it's almost room temp. :? I'm getting ready to put it in the oven anyways, so it should still be okay to eat right?
