is this normal? Sarah Beth Cline 2 kids; Missouri 246 posts1st Mar
So I posted earlier in the week I was bleeding a lot. Bright red. And it smelled awful plus a fever. After speaking to two doctors I got medicine to make my uterus contract and a antibiotic. The smell has finally gone away and so has the fever. The cramping slowed the bleed and changed it to brown. I finished the cramping pills yesterday. And all day today I had nothing. No blood at all. I went to finally take my pad off and saw bright red blood again. Ugh. I delivered two weeks ago and had a normal vaginal delivery. Not breastfeeding as I had to go back on anxiety meds. The nurse said if it goes red call. But the office is closed and it's not a lot so I hate to bother them. Is it possible I just over did it? Thank you!

With bleeding, a fever and a bad smell that signals an infection. You need antibiotics. If it gets bad enough you could need to be hospitalized... or worse. This happened to me and it spiraled downhill FAST.
I'm on antibiotics. The smell and fever went away. And so did the bleeding but now the bleedings come back. Is that normal?

Quoting kitty_ks:" Its normal. I stopped bleeding 2 weeks after delivery had nothing for 2 days than bright red again last another 2 weeks."Not normal when she's so recently had an infection. OP I'd go get checked out, at the hospital if that's the only place you can go. These things can get really bad really fast.
