No, an opinion is statement regarding your feelings on a certain topic or subject.
You can be wrong if you state a fact that you believe to be true.

But just saying "it's my opinion" doesn't change the fact that that person is stating a fact (and not something you can have an opinion on). IMO.

A true opinion cannot be wrong, no matter how you figure "wrong" because it's completely subjective.

Just because the majority of people think something is "right" doesn't make the otherside "wrong", it makes them have a difference of opinion. And in my opinion (hehehe)-- saying that someone else's opinion is wrong is saying that all opinions are wrong, essentially.

In any debate (which, by definition has to be about something subjective) you cannot say that someone else's opinion is wrong. They feel just as strongly about their opinion as you do about yours; saying someone else's opinion is out and out wrong (instead of "I disagree with your opinion") is just so silly to me. If their opinion is wrong, must mine be wrong, too, because someone else disagrees with it? Guess so. haha

I am not afraid to admit that I've had wrong opinions. I didn't necessarily grow out of it in all cases, but I learned more about a subject instead.

No... facts can be wrong, opinions can not. you can call an incorrect an opinion and feel entitled to it.. but that does not make it an opinion.

example... if I look at a green shirt and claim it's purple.. it's an incorrect fact. I can say I'm entitled to the opinion that it's purple all I want..but I would be wrong. And that would not be an opinion.

Yes.
Opinions can be wrong on certain things. In the moral sense and in the scientific sense.

If someone's opinion is that the earth is flat or that it was created 6000 years ago, they're welcome to have that opinion, but it is WRONG. As long as they are okay with having wrong opinions, fine.

Morally it gets murkier, but I do think there are a few universal moral rights and wrongs. Most things aren't black and white, but there are a few. Cannibalism, etc.

For example, if your opinion is that cannibalism is really great fun and morally justified absent a dire circumstance, your opinion is WRONG. There's no maybes in that. There's no situation in which chowing down on another person just because you enjoy it, is okay or not repugnant in every sense of the word.

No because an opinion is a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.
