Quoting MunchkinWrangler:" Honestly, have some toast or something to sit in your belly. Every time Ive been induced it's taken ... [snip!] ... let me eat toast w/PB and applesauce until I was in active labor, and I still had my ways of getting the ice cream. Haha."

Haha I might just send my husband to get me some cause talking about it makes me want some!

That's silly. I have never pooped in delivery. I just made sure to go before I delivered.

And I'm pretty sure you have MORE of a risk of pooping in delivery if you DON'T eat because not eating solids and having tons of fluids can cause diarrhea. YUCK!

They do that alot with inductions because they figure the women will get a epi and wont need as much strength..
I remember when I asked if I could eat the first nurse said no, then I asked again and the nursed asked me if I planned on having a natural birth or a epidural, I told her natural and she said then I could eat.. Im not really sure how that made much sense though.. :?

They told me to stop eating too but I didn't know I was being induced it was a surprise after I failed my NST at 41 weeks... luckily I was and still am a total fat ass so I had a whole roll of crackers in my purse and I ate them throughout the day despite what they said. I was hungry as f**k and I'm so glad I had those crackers because they helped me keep my strength.

My doctor told me that I could have clear liquids before my induction...I had a yogurt right before I went in, but she said that was fine too...

When my doctor asked my nurse what I had eaten 12 hours after I was induced and she said nothing he flipped on her and made them bring me food. He said they don't like food in the stomach in case of a c-section then told me I could eat whatever I want until I am in too much pain to care to eat because I was" not getting a c-section so it does not matter"

Yep! I was eating oatmeal about two hours before giving birth. I had our son in a birth center though. I fear the hospitals being stupid the second time around.
