I'm getting really excited/nervous!! I have my consult/possible baseline ultrasound for IUI tomorrow morning and it will be my first official appointment with IUI since I've been seeing a regular OB that happened to specialize in infertility as well. My husband was supposed to be able to go with me but got scheduled for a school that starts in the morning and his command wouldn't let him out of it. So this time it will just be me! I have been on the pill since CD1 and tomorrow will be CD10. I'm hoping they can manipulate my cycle to do the actual procedure soon!! What should I expect from a consult? Did you do your baseline the same day? What was your experience? Thanks in advance!
I had 4 IUIs but I've never had an IUI consult appointment. I was just told that we're doing IUI and I had to make appointments for the blood work and ultrasounds. Since you'er on CD 10 I'm assuming they'll do blood work and ultrasound.
Are you on BC for an ovarian cyst? With my IUI cycle I had a cyst, my RE put me on BC then on CD10 I started Clomid and stopped the BC. They did an ultrasound and blood work that day but I usually went in on CD3 for my baseline. Your doctor a nurse will probably explain the IUI procedure you and do whatever testing they need to do.

Thanks so much for responding! We have unexplained fertility, they have checked for cysts since I had irregular cycles but I didn't have any, I lost some weight and my cycles became regular about a year into trying. The nurse knows where I'm at in my cycle and when I made the appt she said we would probably do a baseline and likely do it this month. But I'm nervous we will have to wait :( Guess I will know tomorrow! I'm just so excited!
