Do you dress up? Ellie. 34 kids; Arizona 25371 posts

For normal day to day life, do you put make up on, put on nice clothes etc, even if you're just staying home or running to the grocery store?

I don't.... and I feel crappy that I dont. DH doesn't give two shits... or so he says. When I'm not at work, I come home, throw my hair in a bun, and wear plaid pajama pants and a tank top or something. I feel like I"m such a mess. Hell, I dont even wear make up to work anymore. I"m just too tired to even care.

I feel like I "owe" it to him to look nice for him, but at the same time, I figure why bother if he doesnt care?

I work full time so I just answered for when I'm not at work. DH and I both just stay in pj's when at home and if I go to the store or somethign I just throw on some jeans, MAYBE mascara. I only get dressed up with make-up and what not when I go out to dinner or a b-day party/event type thing.

I do about 5 times a week. But that's because I have school and then have to do my service learning at an elementary school. If I'm not going anywhere? He'll no I don'

I've been the same way for years. Lately though, I've been getting dressed in the mornings and I try to do something with my hair and maybe throw on some mascara or something.

It makes me feel better and more motivated throughout the day. I thought SO didn't care either, but I find now that he's actually complimenting me more. 8)

I don't dress up in super nice clothes but more than just pajamas and tanks. I usually wear a nice pair of leggings or jeans with a shirt/ cute hoody

I put makeup on for the first time in a couple of months around Valentines day, and realized that I needed new makeup, because apparently I bought what u had in the summer when I was a little darker.

Dh says he doesn't mind that I don't wear makeup or dress up....but I feel like he does.

Not so much anymore. I used to be the kind of girl that woke up everyday and put on makeup and dressed up but I just don't feel like it anymore, lol. I just dress normally and occasionally put makeup on, when I feel like it. Maybe a couple of times a week.

I get dressed every day but nothing fancy. If I leave the house I'll put on a little bit of makeup. If we're going out to the city or to a party I'll dress a little nicer and put on a little more makeup. But that's it.

DH says he hates high-maintenance girls and likes it better when I don't wear a lot of makeup and shit.

ETA: I'm a SAHM. I was working as a hairstylist so I had to dress up and wear makeup and pretty much look fabulous everyday. That got exhausting lol.

I'm exactly the same way, except when I worked I wore makeup during the winter every day(the only time I wouldn't sweat it all off in the Houston heat). but other than that, I'm all natural unless we're going out to eat or something.

I do the make-up and hair thing everyday for work
I will also do it on the weekends if we are doing something.

When I am hanging home, I don't "dress up" but I do choose outfits that are...uh.... flattering, DH likes it

I am in uniform from 7-4 everyday during the week. So most of the time when I get home I immediately change into my workout clothes because they are comfortable and I know I will workout later anyway. But sometimes I will put on a t-shirt and jeans and that is "nice" for me at home lol

If I'm leaving the house I wear makeup, not a ton, but at least foundation, powder, mascera and eyeliner.

I don't "dress up" at all unless we're going out on a date.

Yeah, I mean if we're going out on a date night or somewhere, I"ll put make up on and do my hair. But just to get groceries, mall, etc.... I dont care. I know DH's ex was pretty high maintainance, so I think he's happy it takes me roughly 5 mins to get out of the door.

I may wear make up more if I felt better about myself. The pregnancy/miscarriage and all the weight gain has me feeling horrible. I think when I was thinner, I cared more about putting on make up and stuff.

There's not much I can do with my hair though. Last year, it was black and super long. I cut it all off and donated it, and I'm growing my natural red out. So my hair is currently shoulder length and half black and half red. lmao. Not much more I can do with it besides throw it up on a bun.

Quoting Kayla [:)]♥:" I never wear make up... Sometimes I straighten my hair. Usually it's in a bun... I do try to wear nice clothes, though."

I see commercials with people doing stuff around the house and they're dressed. I honestly dont understand being dressed at home (jeans/shirt, etc). I mean... I want to, but I feel what's the point. lol
