<blockquote><b>Quoting They call me mama.:</b>" Congrats on your baby girl by the way! =D I actually got a madela breast shield at the hospital but ... [snip!] ... maybe twice a night on his own but I'm awake much more. I also sleep next to him on the couch so I can get to him quicker."</blockquote>

Thank you!!
I'm glad it helps at least a little, the pain is the worst mostly while your nipples are getting use to it! That's my main worry is her getting use to the shield and not latching well without it. But she nursing great with it right now, I figure she's nursing and getting breast milk and im not giving her my milk in a bottle so I'm trying just to relax over it. I have about 9oz in my fridge from pumping but it's just a pain to wait for it to warm up in wrm water between each feeding. Sotheby's shield is nice!

My nightly routine seems to be sleeping in my bed with her in the bassinet till she wakes up then I go to the couch with her and the bassinet. If I get at least 3 hours of sleep I'm good to go downstairs and watch tv with her lol

lol That's just like me. I just sit downstairs and if I cant fall back asleep Ill just hold him and search for something to watch on tv. Eventually I fall asleep again with him in my arms.

Quoting They call me mama.:" Im not willing to give up on breast feeding and will be calling the LC tomorrow to see if they can squeeze ... [snip!] ... his cheeks while nursing which makes him lose suction constantly so he keep clicking his tongue on my nipple. Its hurts so bad."

I'm so glad you're not willing to give it up, good for you! :) I hope it gets easier for you two.

Giving you an "e-hug" because I know how difficult the first month is. Hang in there, mama. If you ever need it to talk or vent, you can always PM me!
