Good on you for getting a correct carseat and not just using the one you first ordered :D

Quoting K. P. Walsh:" <blockquote><b>Quoting Kelly +2 ERF/EH!:</b>" lmfao Auto correct huh?? lol And ... [snip!] ... I would have noticed that, but I totally thought it was both because it was convertible. :/ I don't like car seat shopping. :("

lol!

And we do extended rear facing, I researched carseats for a month starting when Addison was 11 months old, her new seat came two after she turned 1! I was researchin up a storm!!

But the Nautilus is a great forward facing seat when it comes time for you to buy one, it will be the last one she'll need since it converts from a harness, to a high back, then to a low back. We're hoping Addison won't outgrow the harness until she's around 6...I think I'll still be sad when i have to make it a high back with the belt....I'm a carseat freak!

So what type of car seat did she up until she was 11 months? If you don't mind me asking? Because DD is in a weird, grey area. She's too big for her current infant car seat but too small for the ones I see that are convertible?

Most convertibles start at 5lbs so she should technically fit in any that RF and FF.

Too small? My youngest has been in a convertible since birth.

You can use convertibles from 5lbs and up!! She was 9lbs at birth, and was almost too big weight wise, but started crawling, then was walking at 9 1/2m, and lost some weight, so she stayed in her infant carrier until 1. Then we got her the True Fit Convertible, she RF in that till she was 3 years old, then we used it as a spare FF seat, and the Nautilus is the permanent seat. But she's now outgrown the True Fit, so now she just has the Nauti.

Well, that's what I should have gotten to begin with.
SO was reading me the features of the one we ordered first, and said it was a convertible and think we both wrongly assumed it would RF and FF. I just glanced over it when he brought the laptop to me and said okay, which was dumb. We looked at the site again and only one little sentence says does not RF. Ehh. Stupidity.
I just looked at a lot, I'm now noticing that are convertible and not RF. I guess that just throws me off a little.
Glad I found what I actually needed.

Yep! And glad you realized you had a forward only seat and didn't just stick her in there anyway...safety first!! :)
