When did you do it? DS has been on solids since 6 months. At around eight I started to introduce some table foods and now he'll be ten months in a couple days and I was wondering when I should start to phase the purees out.

I started of with table foods and no purees at all, at 6 months old. Should be fine. Just throw some veggies and meats on the tray or make a pasta with orzo pasta and sauce and feed it or let self feed.

Just stop giving the purees altogther, lol hit enter before I was done. lol Unless chewing is a problem, no need for purees at all.

Now is fine to phase them out if he's doing well with the table foods. After we introduced the finger foods and she got proficient at self feeding, she refused to let me spoon feed her. :( So she kind of forced my hand in phasing out purees.

Whenever you think he is ready. I stopped feeding my son purees around his first birthday.
