I am making pineapple upside down cupcakes, and the recipe calls for butter, which is for the pineapple topping, would I use unsalted or salted butter for that?
I usually use un-salted in my baking unless it says other wise. You can use what ever you prefer, it's just a matter of managing salt in the baked goods.
Make me some! I haven't had them in years lol.
