That's a really generalizing judgmental statement. Not all teens don't use logic when it comes to sex.

Quoting Squeaky McGee [19 wks]:" It's true for all parents; not just teens. Kids are expensive. Adults are just generally more apt to be able to provide for them."

I agree with this. I can also see why it's directed towards teen pregnancy. Teens that think it's cool and sweet to get pregnant might get a wake up call.

It's not going to change anything, because teens typically don't listen to reason and logic. But, it's all sorts of true.

Forgive me. I should've said most teens. But it really is true for the most part. MOST of them think with their hormones, not with their brains.

Oh, and I just noticed you're a teen mom. Of course you're going to stand up for teen pregnancy and how logical and responsible teens are.

Exactly. Everyone knows what happens and that it's expensive. Instead, teach shit like "how to track your ovulation to avoid pregnancy" and "how to know around when she might ovulate so you don't have sex".

Children ARE consequences of sex, by definition. A "consequence" is a result or effect of an action or condition. Consequences can be either good or bad.

However you know in what reference I am using the word. Children are not living punishments.

My exact thought.

Not from the last statistic that I saw. I can't remember exactly where, but it said teen pregnancies are on a rise. I'll see if I can find it.

Since we're ignoring deductive reasoning, ill reword that. Children are not living punishments.

Sometimes they are. I can name a few that are for their parents. Maybe not your kids, maybe not my kids but some kids are.

Does this ad act like only "some kids" are?

No, I'm not ignoring deductive reasoning. You can't equate "consequence" with "punishment" or "mistake." So, you are correct in saying children are not punishments.

If anything, this will piss teens off and further their "I'm taking responsibility for my actions" attitude and encourage their "I'm invincible" behavior.
