They're a bunch of little kid voices in Chuggington :x
I'm refusing to let any of my kids have a tv or any sort of electronic short of a stereo in their room. If they want entertainment in their room they have toys and books. I didn't have a tv or computer in my room growing up and that's the only reason I love books as much as I do now. If I had a TV in my room I would've been vegging out watching stupid shows instead of devouring book after book before bed.
My advice: Sell the kid's tv, get a bookshelf and a shit ton of books.
My 4 and 7 year old have tv/dvd in their room, they know the rules, they get to watch it on a friday night a movie and saturday night, school days its a no no for tv, durring the day they don't even play in thier room, as we have a play room, but they prefer to play in the living room with their toys.
We still read books before bedand have a chat...
Quoting A❤T=P&W:" I don't think kids should have a TV in their room. "
this! We don't even have one in our room. I don't even keep toys in her room except stuffed animals. I want her to know her room is a place to sleep. I had some toys in there for awhiile but she wouldnt nap and just played so I took them out and now she naps :) I would assume it would be the same if we put a tv in there. I would consider putting one in her toy room when she is a little older. I try to limit her tv time since she is only 2. It's hard in the winter here though.
My 4 year old has a t.v. in her room, she doesn't use it every day even though. And she knows she's not allowed to touch it at all, we are the only ones in charge of when it is on and what channel it's on. And we live in a trailer with thin walls, so if she turned it on, we would know right away. But I don't see her even trying it anyway. The only time we turn it on is sometimes she'll ask to watch t.v. in her room and play with her toys(she has her play kitchen in her room as well). Which is like, every other day. So as long as she doesn't get out of hand with it, like asking to go watch in her room all the time, we have no issues with the t.v. in her room so far. I think she likes It because her brother gets on her nerves and she can just be to herself for an hour or so sometimes. I don't see anything wrong with it.
