They probably do now. Check your county's webpage. Michelle Obama is behind a lot of the new school lunch laws.

Go read the link I provided you. It would behoove you to have proper info in your pocket before you call the school district and let them have it.

You are so wrong it's almost sad. It's federal law, dude. You need to spend some time with Google.

I loved high school, you had the choice of school hot lunch, a paid salad bar or paid pizza/snack station and then vending machines in the commons area

So then she is behind the waste in the food budgets as well. lol My girls go to head start and they get one choice here. I am not sure how the program works for that and I should know because this is their second year.

To be honest, I live in a very small town and didn't know ANYBODY! I was driving around and saw a sign saying to apply for preschool and it gave me the number to call. I called, made an appt to fill out applications and got a notice in the mail a few weeks before the start date of school that they were accepted and thought great! I thought it was part of the public school system. Then a mom was talking about another family that had a kid that should be in the school. I asked why they didn't apply to the school and she said "over income". I nearly choked and I said 'WHAT?". My husband make a very very very substantial income. I had no idea that it was income based. So I went and talked to the family cordinator and she explained that in the rural areas that after all the familes with needs (income and special needs children) fill the spots, anything left is open to the general public and in rural areas like my small town, there are more over income families than not. I felt a little better and didn't feel like I was hogging two spots that another family could use. So, for the past two years I have been shelling $$$ toward the program and buying the Santa gifts for the head start program in our area. I have to do something to pay it back/forward anyway. lol

TBH that's really weird, though my oldest is having fish tacos tomorrow as a choice (there's also chicken caesar salad on the menu, I know what she's picking lol) , that's different. They don't serve fish at the elementary school though here as far as I know, only middle and high school.

Also I really don't like catfish :? . I like salmon, cod, basically everything but catfish lol.
