Bertha is a big fat beached whale name. So is Helga, Olga... yeah it's a fat whale name.

i also like Ryan for a girl for some reason. some of those names sound like they'd only fit on a boy. i think some names can go either way even if they are more directed towards a certain gender.

I never really minded guy names on girls. To me if they age well and sound overall decent on the opposite gender, than great. I always thought Madison was such a pretty name on a girl, as is Aubrey despite their being so popular lately.

Lately, I've been disliking the name Evangeline. I really don't understand the hype people have regarding this name. Plus I always think of a swan princess when I hear it for some reason. :/

I feel the same way. Ezra is a name I hear nearly all the time on baby gaga and now IRL, Esme I've only heard twice though but I can see it becoming quite common on BG.
You know, the thing is I personally feel that 'trendy' doesn't always describe particular names like Aubrey and Isabella or Sophia. Classic names can become popular to the point of being trendy, and thus abrasive as well.

i completely agree with all of that. I can't stand ANYTHING that could come close to reminding me of Twilight. i seriously hate even typing it out that's how much i despise it. no offense to anyone who likes it. so that's one name out. I think Aubrey and Sophia are cute but i've also seen all of the teen mom 1&2 so i know they are on those shows and i don't want that association either.

however, if i could get away with it, I'd have Luna in a future daughter's name.!

eh, i still love it! Jenelle's a f**king twit, but Jace is so pretty so i'd still consider it.

Those all seem girly names to me anyway, so I have no problem with them. A lot of boys names seems like they'd fit a girl better.

I have a boy named Ryan & I really don't like that people are naming girls Ryan. lol.

I hate "trendy" names like Bella, Tristan, Hayden, MiKayla....
I also really, really dislike older names like Bertha, Helga, William, Margaret, Maggie. I think they sound ridiculous on a baby. Although, all of those people were babies at one time....it's still silly when I see a modern day baby named something like Pearl..

BUT you are not just naming a BABY you are naming a human being who is going to grow up.
Older names or adult names grow with children.
