Quoting Ivana, expecting #3!:" online, it's all over. just because your son's circumcision went "well" doesn't mean that's the case for everyone. Babies have lost their penises to circumcision!"

I'm sorry, but that last bit made me LOL. Some people circumcise, some don't. My husband is and likes his p***s that way. I've been with men that haven't been circumcised and have been. I have seen more issues with the uncircumcised than circumcised to be honest and one of my exes has a permanent little nob that he can't afford to get fixed. I understand you are fighting for something you believe in, but that's your belief. Not everyone's.

ok but FACTS are that it is unnecessary.
And of course your husband likes it, he has nothing to compare it to, his opinion on it doesn't really count. If he was intact for a long time and remembers that and then got circumcised and likes it much better, ok fine, but it would have been his choice. I just think that boys should have the same rights as girls in our country and have their bodily integrity protected. babies die from circumcision, but I am sure that will make you laugh, too. 100% preventable deaths. circumcision is just not necessary and parents shouldn't be allowed to pick and choose what body parts their babies keep, especially such important, sensitive ones that are part of the genitals.

Cause if you sue nurses or doctors not a lot of them will want to take you in as a patient. Because accidents do happen. Clearly that was no accident and the procedure was improperly done but he just didn't want to kick up a stink. Also i don't care if anyone circumsizes their sons p***s' I just am happy I didn't. I won't be with any of my future children either.

Alright, facts may say its unnecessary. And if you find it unnecessary, don't do it. But don't throw an online hissy fit because someone doesn't have the same belief as you. What if someone circumcises their child for religious reasons? Are you going to attack them because its something they believe in? I understand that babies have died from circumcision and no, I don't find it funny. Its a terrible thing. But you attacking people isn't going to make them change their minds or make them agree with you.

where did I attack anyone?? so providing facts is attacking?? And yes circumcision for religion is wrong. That is the parent's religion, not the child's! Doesn't the child get the right to choose his own religion? I was raised catholic and am now atheist, so glad my body was not painfully altered because of what my parents believe in!

Also what is so funny? It's true. I watched a documentary on a poor boy who lost his p***s to circumsision and so they changed it into a vagina when he was a baby. He was so messed up and his life was just completely fucked because of it. Now that is the most extreme case and it is not common but still possible. Each to their own though! Personally I wouldn't because to me it seems un ethical. It isn't nessasary but that doesn't mean I think less of anyone who does! Everyone has their own opinions and reasons for doing things.

No, providing facts isn't attacking, but the way you come off is kinda strong. My thing is you can tell people how you feel about it, but you can't convince them they are wrong. Its their children, their choices. Sure, the child can't make that decision of how he wants his p***s to look, but as parents, we are to try and make our decisions in the best interest for our children. Whether it be for religion or cleanliness or whatever reason they decide. There are alot of unclean men out there. Grown men that would rather stay there in their stench and not bathe just because. One of my exes was one of them. He hated bathing and after a certain time, he developed some nasty smegma under his foreskin. It. Was. Gross. Sure, it can be on anyone, but I've only ever seen it on guys who weren't cut.

It itself isn't funny, it was just the way it was written that was funny sounding to me. Probably because I'm extremely tired right now. I can't imagine how bad his life must be after something like that has happened, and I feel very sorry for him. But you're right, it isn't common. I just think that its a parents choice to make that decision.

Odd that these issues only seem to be widespread in the US

Why? It's not their body. And it's a pefectly healthy part of it.

I understand that parents should be able to decide about the wellbeing of their children. But this has nothing to do with wellbeing.

There is not a single man with a foreskin on this planet who thinks: "Damn! I wish I had no foreskin!" - And if a man does think that, he can still get it done, the only difference is that this a conscious decision.

How can you assure me? :? I was actually there in the room with him and I can assure YOU that not only was my son awake, he did not make a peep when it happened, and I can also assure you that he did in fact sleep peacefully following the procedure.
I understand that you have your opinion on this, but as his parent, I have zero regrets. And I highly doubt he'll ever come to me and wish I didn't do it. And if by fluke he does, as his parent, I will cross that bridge if we ever come to it....so clearly, my son's p***s will never have anything to do with you, so please stop being so concerned.
