sooooo you come on a forum with a bunch of strangers and ask if its safe to have your baby after your doctors told you its fine? Lol mkay if you say so.No doctor in their right mind would ok you to go into labor that early unless there was no other choice

Why are you on steroids again? Just because you lost your plug? Riiiiiiiight.

Also....There is no way to tell how developed a fetus is in-utero. Sorry. It's just a big guess for them.

I was dilated at 29 weeks with my second...
I did EVERYTHING in my power to keep my sweet boy in, steroid shots, weekly apt, strict bed rest.
and I thank God every day I was able to keep him in until 39 weeks!
My first was born at 35 weeks and it was so scary having my sweet boy in the Nicu, broke my heart :(

the ultrasound is very inaccurate at guessing weight. that's all it is is a guess.
there is no way your baby is as develeped as a 38 weeker unless your due date is off and you are ACTUALLy 38 weeks.
stop being selfish......
having your baby right now sets him up for MANY complications....steroid shots or not!!!!

Ok well your an idiot. And your baby will probably end up in the nicu if you have him now until his original due date. You want a sick kid?

it's not like steroids are given in a constant dosage over the last month. They give you 2 doses 24 hours apart and if that was given to you at 29 weeks then 48 hours later that gave your baby the equivilant of 31 weeks lungs but that doesn't mean that the lungs are consistently 2 weeks ahead. At 30 weeks your baby would still have 31 week lungs, at 31 weeks your baby still has 31 week lungs, at 32 weeks your baby has 32 week lungs and now at 33 weeks your baby, like every other 33 weeker, has 33 week lungs, no different from any other baby. Steroids do not make a baby fine, they make them more fine. I had steroids with my first two babies and even though my second baby was given them at 32 weeks and was born at term at 38 weeks she still had trouble breathing properly, it's not a cart blanche for health. And I've NEVER heard of a doctor deciding not to stop labour if you're earlier than 34 weeks, at 34 weeks at a hospital with a good NICU I heard of rare occasions where a doc won't stop it but for the most part docs will stop up to 36 weeks because they know how important it is for baby to keep baking.
