Based on these two links (and the first one didn't really bring up much of anything), researches have suggested a possible withdrawing process, as one of many theories. So, they may or may not have a severe, withdrawn reaction.

And it's based on no anesthetic provided. Now, this is where I'm naive, do they still circ without anesthetic?

On an aside, I'd like to see what sort of reaction infants go through when ear piercing. Just for shits and giggles.

I know for me, at aged 8, it was uncomfortable for the day of and a couple days after.

Yup.

In many hospitals anesthetic is not used.

Which is why I did my RESEARCH before having it done.

Simply stated those who don't do research prior to getting it done or not are deemed ignorant,

Quoting Kayla [:)]♥:" Do you know how uncommon that actually is? And the risks associated with the shit?"

Where I live it is locally frozen, they don't put the baby to sleep.

And no I didn't know how uncommon the use of anesthetic is. I checked out my local hospital where it would be done and the hospital in the next town (if there is a medical emergency during labor thats where we are sent)

I think it's equally bad. That being said, I don't see how anyone who does the correct research and fully researches it can still go ahead with circumcising their son. That is basically saying you're fine with the fact that it's purely a cosmetic surgery and worth the risks to make your sons p***s look a certain way.

I'm not into debating it though, if anyone wants to talk, they can message me. (:

Just because someone doesn't make the same choice as you did doesn't make them wrong or bad. They chose what is right for their baby. No one should be critical of a parents choice for their baby.

not researching circumcision and choosing not to do it is like not researching cutting off a newborns finger and choosing not to do it...there's no need for it and it's fully functional....Just let it be... I didn't research removing any healthy parts from my daughter because common sense tells me to leave them alone..No research necessary lol

I didn't research removing arms, head transplant, botox for my newborn, tattoos for my newborn, removing any of their ten fingers because my common sense tells me that unless something is problematic, leave it alone..our babies are born perfect! this is no different! there's no need to research it unless you want to mess it up and remove something

I mean unless the baby has a medical problem that offers multiple solutions then I see no reason for a parent to research pros of circumcision. A parent that is wanting to leave their baby intact anyway.

Its a cosmetic procedure :/
