Has anyone not realize they were in labor at first? And if so what happened
You will know...trust me! I always worried about not realizing it and boy was I surprised
yes, once labor kicks in, there will be no doubt. if your telling yourself its not that bad then your not in labor yet, lol
Yes, I'm gonna get grilled but I took caster oil and thought I had horrible diarrhoea pains in the shower for hours.
It wasn't until I got out of the shower that I realised they were coming every two minutes and were actually contractions, screamed and yelled at my partner to get my socks and put them on for me and we were off to the hospital lol.
with my 1st I didn't know I was in labor.. I peed myself lol and thought my water *might* have broken at first..but after a while of having no more gushes I knew it didn't while monitoring it for a few hours... I was having inconsistent contractions for weeks.. and was at the time...
my mom convinced me to go in to see if it was my water anyways..
when I got there I was told it was not my water, but I was contracting 4 minutes apart and was 4 cm.
so they broke my water, and that's when they became painful.
she was born 7 hours later.
my second I woke up having strong contractions at 3 in the morning..I knew I was in labor at that point..though didn't need to rush to the hospital because It was a homebirth.. so all I had to do was hang out and call my midwife.
With my son I was having contractions every two minutes but they were painless. My husband finally talked me into going in. I walked in still not having any pain with the contractions. I was checked at was almost 8 cm!! Baby was born less than an hour after getting to the hospital and only 1 hr 46 minutes after I felt the first painless contraction!
With DD1, I had no idea. I was awake all night with 'pain' but I didn't think it was real labor because it didn't hurt as badly as I thought it would. I went to the hospital after feeling uncomfortable all night and was dilated to a 9.
With DS I was asleep. Woke up at 6AM bleeding and in pain, got to the hospital dilated to an 8.

My second was even better!!
Went in to my appointment and was 4 cm.and contracting every 2 minutes but not feeling them. She sent me home to pack. Then I jeaded back to the hospital and had progressed to 5 cm.
They kept me on bedrest overnight to get gbs antibiotics.
I was supposed to be induced first thing in the morning bit we had a baby rush.
Finally at 2:10 pm the midwife broke my water and they started a tiny bit of pitocin to keep my uterus contracting bevause I had low platelets.
I could finally feel the contractions and started to panic but my nurse caught me and reminded me to breathe.
I easily breathed through the rest of my contractions and laughed and joked through my whole labor.
Didnt take to long to feel pushy. Pushed three times and delivered my daughter at 2:46 pm!! 36 minutes of natural, painless labor!!!
