Almost every time we are around my fiance's friends he gets like this other personality...over confident ..passive aggressively putting me down ( I think)....you know like some stuck up high school kid talking like they are above you?

It pisses me off every time....but he says he genuinely does not see it....Idk how to go about it again...One of his friends ( also my SIL bf) lives with us so he is like this 75% of the time and it drives me NUTS

Uhhh stop being a fuckface! thats about as nice as i'd get.

But seriously record him doing it and play it back to him later. Let him see what an asshat he's being

I wouldn't word it nicely. I'd tell him flat out to stop acting like a pompous asshole. If you're good enough to sleep next to at night you're good enough to be spoken to decently and not down to.

Give his alter ego a name, like Egore, or something ridiculous, and whenever you notice it go, awwww, hello Egore.

Some things are WORTH fighting for, and being treated like an equal is one of them. If he doesn't see how he treats you, show him and tell him that is unacceptable. Then, if he refused to change, leave. You deserve better.

When I was in that situation (my husband's best friend was our room mate for about a year), nicely didn't work. LOL I had to make sure he knew he better not change the way he acts or his friend was out.

I'm totally doing this.
OP I just recently had a similar discussion with my SO with his attitude when he is around his friends. I directly told him he needs to stop being an asshole or they're not welcome when I'm around.
