in my experience, you will just know when you are in real labor. The feeling is unreal.... At least for me.

Best way I can describe it is a lot of pressure and basically cramps that feel like your belly is tightening all the way around your back. Like a really intense hug of some sort. Its painful, compared to Braxton hicks which are annoying.

I don't know how else to describe it but id bet that when it happens you will be able to tell the huge difference in how you feel.

It's different for everyone. Mine never felt like period cramps. With DD it felt like flu cramps or dihhrea cramps. And with my DS my contractions felt like he was trying to push his way out of my stomach. My contractions with both kids felt totally different

You just know when you go into labour as there more intense than the BH contractions.
I did poo myself & nearly puking up a few times when I was in labour with my oldest son but the other two I didn't. When I was in labour with my daughter I couldn't stop peeing myself after my waters had broke. I think tbh it depends on were the baby is lying when your in labour.

If I hadn't been going on one hour sleep when I woke up in labor I probably would have realized I was in labor sooner...but... I kept thinking 'this is the worst constipation pain imaginable... lol. It did feel like period cramps but there was SOOOOO much pressure that I was so sure I would feel better if I could just poop lol
