So I started taking Yaz about 6 weeks ago and for the last 2 weeks I have had horrible pain in my stomach which is getting worse. Also I have started gaining weight or I could just be bloated pretty badly I suppose. Has anyone else had problems like this?

I've never taken Yaz, but I've heard it can have complications like this or worse ones. As with all things like this, you should talk to your dr. about it. See if there is an alternative maybe. I hope everything works out for you. Good luck.

I took yaz about 3 years ago. My doc was raving about it, sayin it was the best pill out there. Yeah right, I hated it! I felt sick all the time, had awful mood swings and I put on 20 lbs which I couldn't lose. The only good thing was my periods were super light and not much pain. I switched back to Logynon though, an older pill but at least it didn't make me sick or gain weight. As soon as I switched I lost the weight. Periods were heavier and painful but I was happy to put up with that!

Other than getting pregnant while taking it, I had no issues with it. But, after seeing all those commercials about people suing the company after taking Yaz, I'm glad all that happened to me was pregnancy!

Sorry I'm on my phone, I hit post grrr! I never heard of people suing the company, what happened??? I asked for logynon again at my 6 week pp check up they didn't mention anything about the yaz. So glad I stopped taking it when I did.

I can't really remember exactly. But there is a commercial that comes on all the time here about Yaz, Yasmin, and Ocella. It says something like if you have suffered from 'blah, blah, blah' while taking this medication then you may be able to hire a lawyer and get compensation. I don't remember exactly what all it says it could cause, but I remember the first time I saw it I was like 'damn, I'm glad I'm not taking that anymore!'

Omg I was on yazmin as well for about 2 years! From 17-19 I think when I switched to logynon instead. I had no issues with it, I was only switched onto logynon coz they were trying to sort out my horrible periods. I never heard anything bad about yazmin either, must go look it up lol :D maybe it didnt happen in this country or something.

Thank you for the input. I just don't feel like myself anxious, irritated and in pain. Ugh.

Yep. I had been on it for at least a year and I was taking it everyday at the same time, wasn't on anything that would have affected it...but now I have a 2 year old.
