Unless you live or have lived in IN dont act like u know their laws. You are able to live outside your parents home with state support housing..food...ect and get back her children. My friends little sister lives in govt housing and gets govt help at 13 with a single child. She lives alone with her child. She goes to work 12hrs a week and goes to school mon-sat 9-3. So she may not be lying..it may not b exactly wat she is saying but similar. She goes througha family court not normal court there are 45 pgs on what she is trying to do. If her familly supports her legal actions the judge will grant her...but if the family says no her case will have to be strong

Yeah I'm gonna call bullshit. Our government is fucked up but they won't put a 13 yr old in a house alone and you can not get a work permit at 13.

Yeah you can..she lives in richmond in section 8 housing..her parents singed all the paperwork needed. She is schooling through a non profit christian group & working at a church.

But even with all that, she probably does not earn enough money to pay what bills she would have on her own, much less to be able to support 3 babies. I seriously don't think a judge will grant emancipation to someone under 16 or 17. A person that young does not have the mental capacities needed to take care of themselves and make mature and informed choices. Particularly one who has demonstrated past bad choices(by her own admission), and will have 3 children at age 15.

Your 13 yr old cousin does not live alone with her child in govt housing and work, on top of going to school. She is either lying to you or you are lying to make a point. Both of which are stupid.

I can look up the laws. That is a fact.

Your 13 yr old cousin story, not so much.

Section 8 housing you can pay as little as a dollar a month and im sure her other bills r covered by govt groups. A judge could with her twins being a result of a rape they could. It depends on how she has gone about these. If I was a judge id say no...she is too young and 3kids is very stressful and support is needed. I have 2daughters and a special needs child.. Im 22 with zero support from my family & bby dads family. So living alone for herbwould be completely crazy. Who knows..i guess we can see how this turns out on a later.date

She does not live on her own. She may live with adults from the church, but she does NOT live on her own.

A 13 year old can not legally live alone. End of story.

Section 8 is generally a 3+ year wait list, and no 13 yr old is allowed to live on their own in ANY state. Period. The lowest age of consent is 16.
